Lauren Meeker received her Ph.D. in Anthropology with distinction from Columbia University in 2007. She is currently an Associate Professor of Anthropology at the State University of New York at New Paltz. She is also a Research Fellow affiliated with the Center for the Study of Vietnamese Philosophy, Culture and Society at Temple University. Her research interests include cultural politics, performance, folk music and theater, morality and ethics, and visual anthropology. Her area of research is Vietnam.
